We begin the day visiting the City of David which is the original settlement of the city dating back to King David’s time, where archaeological discoveries reveal the roots of ancient Jerusalem.
Then we will explore Hezekiah’s Tunnel which is located underneath the City of David. The tunnel was carved underground by order of King Hezekiah to prepare Jerusalem for siege by the Assyrians.
After, we will walk the Southern Steps where Jesus taught the last week of his earthly life and where the Church was born on Pentecost.
We then visit the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, home to a world-class collection of art, archaeology, and the renowned Dead Sea Scrolls.
Explore the Shrine of the Book, a striking wing-shaped building at the Israel Museum that houses the ancient and priceless Dead Sea Scrolls.
We conclude the day with a visit to Yad Vashem, the very moving Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem. This is a somber visit to help us never forget what happened to Jewish people in Europe during WW2.
